I bought the Specialized Era! Yesterday I went down to Bingham and bought the bike. I still feel really bad that it isn't Mad Dog I am supporting, but I couldn't wait!!! Mad Dog has a small Superfly 100 coming in June. It is a rarity to find these but guess how much that would have cost me?? 5500$ or more, which lets just be honest, I can't afford that!) So Bingham was awesome, they totally let me take the Era out and test ride it, so I took it to the race course above Timp park with Jed. We saw Wendy there. She is a fun girl on the Mad Dog team. She tried riding the Era and I tried her Hi Fi 29er, which I thought was really fun. I had never tried one before and I was suprised that I didn't feel like I was super high off the ground. I loved how when you pedaled you got sooo much distance out of one pedal stroke, pretty cool. I felt like the sharp turns were a little trickier with the 29er. All though I think I would like to own one of those too!!! Ha ha. I could really have a bunch of bikes, that serve different purposes ya know? I loved riding the Era, it felt so light! It weighs 4 lbs less than my old bike! YAY! It also has awesome X-O components, XT crank, Thomson seat post, disk brakes (which I have never had before), a carbon fiber stem and handlebars, I am so excited. I might race it this weekend in Lehi. So I am showing my old bike to someone tonight in Salt Lake, hopefully she buys it!!! If she doesn't I have a bike for sale (Gary Fisher Sugar) if you know anyone who wants it!
