The Furniture Search

Today has been a crazy day of looking at couches. I normally would be so excited to go buy furniture, but I am a little past that now. Here is how the whole thing has gone down. I saw a couch at Costco that I was wanting ever so much. It looked like the perfect fit for our upstairs, which is difficult to come by. Our upstairs kitchen living area is such a weird shape. But I wanted a lot of seating, since we are always hanging around there. So we bought the couch, moved it in, moved the other one down and it fit perfectly. But then as the evening went on, the color all of the sudden looked green, not brown. Has that ever happened to you??? It was soooo weird. It was one of those things where I was trying so hard to convince myself it worked, but I knew in my heart that it didn't go. And so we decided to try it downstairs, which is another area that could use more seating. So we moved the big new couch down, and the old leather couch back up. My back is killing me today! Good thing I go to weight lifting class right? So the green/brown couch is now downstairs. Jed and I sat on it last night to watch a climbing movie about Beth Rodden and Tommy Caldwell. After sitting on the couch for an hour or so, we admitted to each other that we both think it isn't comfortable. We kept feeling like we were going to slide off the couch. I was so bummed because it looks soooo cute down there. SOOOO ANNOYING!!! So today we drove to IKEA, Ashley furniture, the Sofa Mart and sat on TONS of couches. We found one we liked for 200$ less than the Costco one. So we bought it, and now Jed is driving home with it, but we still have to take the Costco one back. I just hope and pray that we like this one when it is actually in our house, or I will just give up. On a happier note, we also got a cute computer desk to go upstairs, I absolutely LOVE it. It is a cute turquoise blue. I saw it at Downeast and knew it was the perfect desk for us. It will look a lot better when we get our big computer set up there and hide all the dumb cords. So here is the funny thing, now I love the old leather couch upstairs with the desk in the corner. I think it looks awesome! And then we used to have a chaise there that is now in our bedroom, and it looks so cute in there!!! I love when something old feels new just by changing things around a little. But now we need to get an armchair to go with the desk! :) I feel like I am going to drive Jed crazy! :) I will have to post some pics sometime soon.

So funny but I know how it is. I still don't really know what you ended up doing! I know you guys would rather be out riding your bikes.
