Valentines Weekend

Jed and I decided this has been the most fun we have had on Valentines ever. I feel like we just had one fun thing after another. Friday we got to go on a date with Rachel and Daniel. Jed had planned ahead so I was super excited. We went snowshoeing up past Sundance at Aspen Grove. It was so beautiful out, it was the perfect thing to go do. I forgot how much I love showshoeing. I can't wait to buy some for the kids. Then we got dressed in nicer clothes and went to the Tree Room at Sundance. It was so fun to eat somewhere nice and be treated so special. We loved the yum food. I especially loved the berries and cream dessert. My parents babysat. They are always so nice about doing that. They always make it so much fun for the kids too. When we picked the kids up my dad was painting a house with Zac and Chloe for her calico critters.

Saturday we had a cleaning morning, and then played outside because it was sooooo warm and nice. It was like 60 degrees in Feb!!! Jed and I took turns biking and we both had a blast. We went on the Bonneville extreme South right near where we live. Jed came home and declared that my bike is AWESOME. He rode it since he is bikeless at the moment. Then my turn came and I truly loved every minute of my ride. I love my bike and I am so excited to race it this season. I saw a bunch of people out. I was reminded how much I love biking, the warm weather does that! Then we went to a ward dinner/dance and our nice friends Shanna and Matt babysat for us. They are so great! We learned the Foxtrot, we were soooo bad at it, I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt. We kept bumping into Kelly and Eric. Jed was such a good sport, he knew I wanted him to try it out. Then Monday we had heart pancakes for breakfast made by Jed. Then I got to go help in Chloe's class for her party. That was fun, except I was running back and forth making sugar cookies in the faculty room, and it was kinda a nightmare. Then we had a special dinner, steak, shrimp, salad, martinellis, rolls, asparagus and baked potatoes, and cheesecake (we didn't even eat the salad or cheesecake!). I was stuffed. Crissa told me about this deal at Reams to get all of that for only 30 dollars. So I was on board for that. The only problem is we don't have a gas grill, so it took FOREVER to light the charcoal. So we didn't end up eating the steak till way later. The pictures are kinda horrible. I am determined to get a nice camera, cause ours is LAME.
Then we had the best dessert. I love the site Our Best Bites. It is such a fun site for yummy food. Most everything I have made on it I love. This was amazing! Super rich. The perfect sinful valentines dessert. Here is the link for the recipe:
