Loot from Santa Lucia. They love love these.
Our Santa Lucia tradition. We get to sleep over at mom and dad's and get up early early in the morning when it is still dark. My mom comes into the room with the candles lit on her head to wake us up for breakfast. It is pretty funny to see everyone's faces. As kids we would always have friends over to spend the night for it. She makes yummy swedish pancakes and hot chocolate and tells us of the story of Santa Lucia, a Christian martyr from Italy that they celebrate in Sweden to symbolize light during the long dark winter. Our family is part Swedish.
Our little Christmas pageant.
This is a hilarious video of E sledding in a garbage bag, she absolutely loved it. She kept getting frustrated because she wanted to do everything herself.

So cute of Ella sledding!! I am such a bummer of a Mom, I wouldn't let Maddy go out in the snow with the girls, I told myself she was too little, but obviously not! Next time I better let her go play too! That is a cool tradition your family does!
Oh my goodness, those videos were hilarious! Ella is one brave little girl, she's already adventurous like her parents.
Heather it was so good to see you today. Your blog is cute and your kids are too. It is amazing how busy we can be as moms!!!
Heather,
I don't know if I told you, but I love reading your blog. I don't know how to contact you, but I was wondering if you might be interested in racing with the Mad Dog Race Team. Perhaps, Patty or KC has already contacted you. We are having our team meeting this Wednesday at 6 pm at the Mad Dog store in Orem. Come and see if it is something you are interested in. We have all levels of riders and you decide on the commitment level. Email me at royckendraclark@gmail.com if you are interested or would like more information.
