Catching up

So I thought I would write about all the things that have been going on that are keeping us sooo darn busy. There is a lot to write about so it will probably be really boring. But I just don't want to forget anything! I feel like December is just blitzing by!!! E is now walking and getting into EVERYTHING!!! She toddles around like a drunk person, it is so hilarious and cute to watch. She is soooo much fun. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE her! I took the kids to see the lights at Temple square and Ella loved it by far the most, she kept saying "Look, Look!!! pointing like crazy. She had her one year well check and was in the 14th percentile for weight, so she is a tiny thing. Here is what she likes to do every day, empty cupboards. I need to invest in child locks.

We went to see Princess and the Frog with Kate and Callie and their girls. Super fun, I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but I was a big fan of hanging out with C!
She is the sweetest girl. C just is a pleasure to be with all the time. She has such a good disposition. We had popcorn and treats and she just sat on my lap and talked to me. Then we went to Red Robin and had lunch. So fun! I just adore her. She just gave her second talk ever at church and was so excited and did such a great job, she talked about Jesus and how remembering him blesses our family. She is such a cute little artist too. She drew a picture of our family for her talk. Jed teaches her in sunbeams and said today she knew every answer and he was thinking she is the smartest girl around!
Cute girls!
Jed and I got to go to a Christmas party at his work, it was such a fun week because we had my parents babysit twice so we could go to two parties! I made him get a picture with me to prove we actually went on a date! It was so fun to be with him, which leads me to the next thing...Jed's trip to Europe without me. Sigh...
Jed is a customer engineer so he "has to" travel to Europe (Paris and London) to meet with customers. He loved it but said it was super tiring. We really missed him!! But I was proud to say I did survive on my own. I even shoveled the driveway on a sunday morning before church! And I still got up early to exercise, which was hard to motivate myself to do!!!
This picture is so embarrassing but I had to document how messy things have been around here for the holidays! It is driving me crazy!!! Too much to do!!! But I cleaned right after I took this picture, honest. I was going to do a before and after to motivate myself to clean, but I forgot to take a picture because I got too busy!!! Relief Society, driving my kids to school and gymnastics and all the other mom tasks and Christmas preparation are getting the better of me! :) Please tell me your house looks like this too!
I love love love our tree this year. Jed picked it. I love homey silly trees, that don't have everything matching perfectly. Some day I will do a fancy one, but for now, this is great.

Z found his baby santa costume in the box and wanted to try it on. So funny.
I think I was totally in a bad bah humbug mood this night setting up for Christmas, I just was tired I guess! I was overwhelmed by all of the stuff!!! What else has been going on? Hmmm, running a lot, I am training for the half marathon in Moab in March (hopefully I get in it is a lottery). It has been so fun, minus the getting up early. About 6 of us go 3 times a week at 6 am!!! UGH! But it has seriously been so fun!!! I would never get up that early on my own but I am now looking forward to it. We even go in the snow. It is super yucky out right now though so we are going in the indoor track. And then I am working out tuesdays and thursdays with my friend Kelly at my house in the morning too. I still am missing biking terribly though. I need to head over to Mad Dog to sign up for their team and get ready for the ICUP races. The boutique was fun, but there wasn't a huge turnout. I made a few more purses, which I had a great time doing. I made a little money too, my mom was so cute and supportive. She is awesome. My aunt did great, people loved her hats and headbands but we think she needs to take them to a bigger boutique like the Holy Cow or Beehive Baazar. Anyways, sorry so boring, just wanted to keep up with the happenings around here. So that is that!!!

Awesome Heather! Sounds like things are going great! I can't wait to meet Ella! I'm amazed at how hardcore you are with the running. I can't imagine being dedicated or motivated enough to go running in the snow in the dead of a Utah winter in the dark at 6 am. Wow.

I LOVE your tree! So adorable!

Ok callie, I will take it off but I thought you looked super cute. But for now on we can have a general rule that before we put pics up of each other we have to get approval. You are hilarious, because I WISH I looked like you when I am pregnant. :)

Your kids are so cute!! And I love the tree! That's exactly how ours looks, I call it our "Charley Brown" tree! It's tall, skinny, and just a bunch of old, passed down, hand- made ornaments! I love it!
I hope that's what others peoples houses look like, because I know MINE gets that way fast! I don't know how some people keep up with it!
