Jed is 30!

Jed is officially 30 years old. I can't believe this is really happening. Sadly I followed him a few days later and left the world of the 20's! Ha ha.

Well I thought I would tell you a little about Jed, maybe try to tell you 30 things you don't know about the Jed I know and love! If I can think of that many...

1. Jed has quite an addiction to jackets. He has tons of them, he says I have more but I think we counted once and he had more. And they are all really cool. :)

2. Jed is a really really amazing artist. He can draw and carve and do really amazing woodwork. He made me a mirror that I treasure! I couldn't find a picture of mine but this is one that he made for my best friend Katie. It is all hand carved and painted. It isn't completely finished in this picture.

3. Jed is an amazing rock climber. He seriously has a gift. It is so fun to watch him climb.

He is the happiest when he gets to go climbing.

This is the Rostrum in Yosemite. It is 5.11c trad, which is pretty difficult. This was something he worked on training for all year. It was something he had really wanted to do and he did it!

This is Castleton tower in Moab Utah. I got to climb this with Jed. I basically just followed him up the thing, he did all the hard stuff.

This climb is called Fine Jade, I believe it is 11a trad.

4. Jed Loves Jeeping, well 4 wheeling, off roading I don't know what you call it. And I HATE IT! Ha ha. But that is ok, I support him. If he has any birthday money, or fun money to spend, he wants to spend it on things for his Jeep. Although he wasn't always a Jeep person...

5. When we were dating he drove a blue 71 Toyota Landruiser. It was pretty cool. It had crazy fabric on the seats, a huge Led Zeppelin sticker on the windshield. He worked on it in high school with his dad and would drive his sister to school in it, because he is an amazing brother that way. He also barrell rolled it though the air and ended up in the hospital and somehow survived and had to rebuild it.

6. Jed was the idaho state wrestling champ his Junior and Senior year of high school and he also wrestled for BYU his freshman year.

7. Jed is really strong. Seriously buff. He was the idaho state power lifting champion as well.

8. Jed loves loves loves chocolate dessert. Especially chocolate cake. I made him one for his birthday called chocoholic cake which seemed fitting.

9. Jed has to eat all the time, like 5 meals a day. He is often eating ramen noodles at 11pm at night. or cereal. And fasting is really really difficult for him

10. Jed really loves to read.

11. Jed is a manufacturing engineer. He never pictured himself as an engineer but that is what he ended up doing. I personally think Jed is super smart and I am so jealous of how fast he picks things up.

12. Jed is a total breakfast maker. I frequently wake up saturday mornings to him making Dutch pancakes or something yummy. Lucky me!

13. Jed is an amazing dad. His kids love him so much!!! He wrestles with them and plays with them and pretty much devotes his time to them right when he comes home from work.

14. Jed has super long eyelashes and I love his sparkly eyes, I know that sounds cheesy but Im sorry I do!

15. He also has super long eyebrows, or at least they grow super fast!

16. He has an addiction to cool shoes too, I think he inherited that from his dad.

17. He is a big music fan and likes to go to loud concerts, and I feel bad because I never want to stand too close to the speakers and he does.

18. He is super goofy, even though a lot of people don't know it. He often turns up the music and dances funny dances around the house.

19. When something breaks or makes him mad around the house he will sometimes just chuck it, I mean literally throw it out the door across the yard.

20. He is way way way ticklish. I totally use this to my advantage.

21. Jed loves Led Zeppelin.

22. Jed really wants to take guitar lessons again and piano lessons so someday...

23. Jed can do like 600 pushups in under an hour, I think on his mission he got up to 1000 in 45 min

24. Jed served his mission in Chicago.

25. Jed just got to go out of the country for the first time this last year (besides Canada and Mexico) he left me and went on a "business trip" to Paris and London.

26. Jed and I met briefly one day four years before we ever saw each other again at the Quarry rock climbing, then we started dating and the rest is history

27. Jed loves movies, we just watched Avatar and it was super fun. You should go see it!

28. I think Jed wants to spend his retirement in Moab, and he would seriously love to move there tomorrow if he could. He would totally just be a climbing bum. Maybe that is where we will be when we are 70.

29. Jed is seriously the most righteous but humble man I know. He is such a good person. He reads his scriptures and prays every night and he is such a good example to me.

30. Well I could go on and on, but mainly he is my best friend! And I am so so lucky to be with him!
