Today I got to take my little C skiing at Sundance. It was such a fun day, I was kicking myself though because I forgot my camera. It is soooo hard to get out the door and get ready to go skiing, so many things to remember, so I forgot the camera. My dad watched E and Z for me, so I got to have a little mommy daughter date with C. It is so fun to be able to spend one on one time with your kids, it doesn't happen very often. She did great, the tow rope was pretty tricky, but she was determined to get it right, I totally got taken out by the thing you grab on to. And man was it a workout trying to run with the tow rope and try to hold C up so she wouldn't fall. After a while I got totally sick of the tow rope that I put my skis on and took her on the lift and got to ski down with her, as opposed to running along side her on the bunny hill. She loved it and wanted to go by herself but I told her she needs to learn how to stop first! I think she will pick it up fast, kids are amazing that way. Not like me trying to snowboard the other day, that was ridiculous.
So I am on day 3 of my no sugar thing, it is hard but not too bad. I just have to report so I can't cheat! Ha ha. Well today I avoided yummy heart shaped valentine sugar cookies a lady made in our neighborhood for a fundraiser, they did look really good! :) I bought some and gave some to my friend, sorry Kelly! :) And then we had a wedding reception to go to for my cousin Kirsten. It was super cute, they decorated in brown and blue and served chocolate bundt cake that my grandma made and hot chocolate and chocolate strawberries. The hot chocolate bar was so cute, they had peppermint sprinkles and cinnamon sticks (for hot apple cider) and peppermint sticks, and I think andes mints chopped up and marshmallows. I thought that was a super cute idea for a wedding. I will have to remember that down the road when I have to plan a wedding!! :) actually that reminded me of another cute one I went to that had a waffle bar, with all sorts of yummy toppings and heart shaped waffles. So cute. Of course why am I thinking about my girls weddings, that is sooooo far off! :) But I am proud to say I resisted the sweets and it wasn't too hard! oh I do have to be honest, my grandma made all the cakes, and she was telling me she wanted me to try them to tell her what I thought, so I took one bite for her, and it was good! But I am not counting that! :) But honestly since it is only day 3 I can't tell you if I feel much different, healthy wise. I am sure it takes a while, and then again maybe nothing will feel different?...hmmmm
OH AND ONE MORE THING
Fun things TO REMEMBER from today:
*Cute E dancing with me at the wedding to YMCA. She loved it!!! She was laughing so hard, and then I got to dance with C and Z. Z loved the hot chocolate
*That reminds me about Z, he loves chocolate milk and hot chocolate. He wants it every day. *A cute guy with down syndrome asked me to dance, that was unexpected! But I told Jed since he didn't ask me...I said ok!!!! It was fun! He proceeded to ask my mom, my aunt, my grandma, he danced with everyone. So cute.
*Z going to play at someone's house today (which he seldom gets to do! C is the social butterfly, so Z feels left out) He said, "C I am going to Jax's house and I am going to be gone for a long time!" He was so excited.
